Project Synopsis:

At the age of 2 she lost her arm to a booby trap in Normandy, France. At 17, she served as a graffiti illustrator during the world-burning Paris Protests of ‘68. At 21 she emigrated to the USA to become an occupational therapist.

She married for a green-card, but was surprised to find the love of her life.

In a beat up ford they traveled across the US to Hot Springs, North Carolina, where they transformed a 1-room cabin they found deep in the Appalachian woods, into a Willy-Wonka-esque home made of recycled wood, glass, and Fibonacci-sequence shaped rooms.

Today at 78, Camille only wears blue and, like Gaudí, dreams of finding broken pieces for mosaics she knows she will never finish.

This is the story of a self-made “Radical French Appalachian Hillbilly” living in a house called AZULE.
